    what would the world be like without google?
    bloody hell, thats what.
    everything would fall apart;
    we would fall into utter chaos.
    things would randomly burst into flames,
    and then we'd all die.

    As no other search engine can't replace Google, the entire Internet and users will stare with wide opened mouths. You can't really console yourselves thinking the existence of some other search engines like MSN, Yahoo, etc. Even though they perform well, 70% of the total users prefer Google over any other search engines.

    Good answer oranges. I believe that bing and yahoo would share google's market. The people that work in google won't die, so they probably would create other companies as well.

    Not really! There is not just search engine! Million's of $ in adwords, million's of $ in adsense, etc., Not to mention gmail where thousand of companies do business. How many people will loose jobs in companies all over the world they dependent on google?
