I'll give you my answer though. If I were an AOL executive looking to the profit margin I would turn dmoz.org into http://shopping.aol.com. Not saying that would be a good thing but from a strictly business angle it would fit the corporate strategy.
Are you saying popotalk is short too? I wholeheartedly believe the editor server was tossed in the trash. I know I have had several occasions where I wanted to toss mine out the window, but then again I don't even get a window, just 4 cinderblock walls-on door in and one door out. I wouldn't doubt they got made at it and through it in the trash.
I think you have a better chance, it seems one the points that you mentioned in this forum, has caused some concerns with AOL among other problems. Wouldn't that be funny if finally you are the one who puts the last nail in DMOZ coffin?
Oh for goodness sakes stop talking in riddles. Unless... is it possible... hmmm. You can't say they weren't warned loud and clear.
I only think I know what you are talking about. But if you are talking about what I think you are talking about... that's a pretty serious can of worms to solve, technically and in terms of personnel. And for reasons I can't go into, it didn't end at this forum. It would tend to point at DMOZ not coming back in anywhere near the form it was last seen in, if at all. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
