What whould be best?

Can anyone tell me what would be the best place to put Google ads on this website: http://www.theclanindex.com The thing is I don't want to make it look to messy with ads.

 

Your placement isnt that bad at the moment. Try experimenting with a few different placements.

 

Keep the top ranking clan and popular servers in its place and take the Newest clan to the second row. In that space, place a medium or large rectangle ad depending on the space available. Next to the newest clan, fill the space with some other contents. I think that will work better

 

You can place your ads in left side.

 

If I were you I would put the ad before content not after, because right now it's not noticeable specially with the yellow color.

 

Why not put the ads on the top ?

 

You could replace the "Adding a Clan Issues" section with advertisements or a link bar to improve CTR.

i agree, your ads are not intrusive and really don't bother.. on the other hand i wouldn't be surprised if u had a low CTR rate.

i have 2 suggestions.

1. try adding another 728x90 before the Top ranking Clans, Popular Servers... area

2. In the search by game area trying removing the last 2 columns and add in there a 350 x 250 block... this can surely have a high CTR rate.

Agree. Always show at least one ad unit above the main fold of content.

First I'll try the remove newest clans idea.

 

I would place some ads up at the top, it would still look tidy.

 

Your website look nice. Is it better to put on left ? I think.
