What weight do you think this site would get?

    Hi,

A friend has a vBul. Forum which has 36,100 pages indexed by Google (when you do the site: command) and the main page is a PR4.

So the question is what weight do you think this site will get as I'm considering getting him onboard of the co-op.

    Thanks

Impossible to tell without the URL.

When the site: command tells you 36K pages, it could be anywhere between 0 weight and 100K weight.

My friend has a forum with 84,600.. however since the co-op does only supplimental thing it would only consider 943. So it would depend on that number.

So how could I find out the "real figure" of how many of the pages indexed would be accounted for?

How do you know it's 31K. That's nonsense. Without knowing how many of the pages are discarded as spam crap supplemental shite, it can be anywhere between 0 weight and indeed (I give you that, 100K was taken from thin air) the cap.

Sign up (see link in sig). Or create your own API app to see how many real pages the site: command returns.

If you hit the cap with a PR4 site I believe your weight would be 54000.

Is there any web-based apps that do this if you supply your own API key?

But it might well not hit the cap because forums are notorious for having a high percentage of 'URL Only' and supplemental results.

Yeah so is there any cool tools that allow you to view the "real" number of pages indexed? This would be a neat tool. :)

    Right... 54k (Sorry about that)...

But Tops... You have to admit, 30 pages on a forum (Most of which should should have fairly decent content) is pretty likely to hit the cap.

Saying that, was the cap raised recently?

Anyone know the rough figure now?
