I have a blog site and I would like to post the articles I wrote on popular article sites that are easy to submit too. Any good ideas in websites - top 50 sites? Is it a good idea to have the article in my blog and then post that on an article site or is it better to write a whole new article to submit to the article sites? Is it a good or bad idea to submit the same article to multiple article sites?
Digg the threads in this forum you will get the article site lists. Yes you can post article on your blog and then can post in article sites. Submitting article in multiple site is not a bad idea but take care of the thing is you should make some changes every time before submitting different article sites.

If you have the time search this forum properly and then do a general Google search. You will be able to find a list so large that you will not be able to submit to all of them. But make sure that you don't spin the same article to a number of sites otherwise, even though the content will be yours, any links that you might place in them will lose their value because of Google might think of them as duplicate content.
Does this mean each article should be rewritten for each article directory? In that case, wouldn't it be easier to just rewrite the articles and submit to the best article directory?

I wouldnt submit the same article to article directories and to my blog. Rewrite it very very well before you do that!!
I'm a big fan of Ezine. GoArticles is fairly good too. Just be careful not to waste time with a lot of so called "article directories". Have of them are completely useless, and provide absolutely no benefit to your website.
