What website type would gain the most money?

Hello to all,these are some simple questions:

Let's say that I thought of getting a website on my own (I bought domain, hosting,etc) but the website isn't made, nor isn't getting traffic.

Questions:
1. what type of website would gain the most revenue if adding codes from advertising networks (AdSense, Bidvertiser)?
2. what advertising networks should I use when the site is still new. then to what advertising network(s) should I advance?
3. what methods could bring me some free traffic to my website ?
4. what websites are selled the best? (I mean, let's say I have a social networking website. would this sell better to someone, then an file uploading website [the website types were just examples])

If its a brand new site, i will ignore 1,2, and 4.

 

I didn't mentioned, the 4 is ment, after 1 month of the website ( 1 month of 1000 unique visitors / month )

Adsense then CPA.

Forum coz the content is user generate so webmaster job is only promote.

Very detailed answer! Thanks! Just to add on some methods of free traffic, why not write some articles and submit them to article directories, and also create some videos and upload them to video sharing sites. Remember to have a link to your website!

 

3 - blog commenting and submission of articles in directories such as ezine and others.

- tight focus/smaller sub-niche. If you get very specific traffic, your more likely to get more relevant ads leading to better click through rates.

2. what advertising networks should I use when the site is still new. then to what advertising network(s) should I advance?

- you might want to think of find some good and relevant affiliate products - like from clickbank

3. what methods could bring me some free traffic to my website ?

- There really isn't any "free" traffic. You either pay for it or you work for it (and there's a value to your time).

- writing good SEO articles for your niche is a good bet for the second type of traffic.

4. what websites are selled the best? (I mean, let's say I have a social networking website. would this sell better to someone, then an file uploading website [the website types were just examples])

- no idea about the type of website. But whatever type it is, if it's making decent money it will sell well.

The sites that will sell the best are those that make a profit or have loads of traffic.

Free Traffic should be interpreted as you do the work, instead of paying someone else to do the work for you. There are tons of free traffic techniques, if only you invest the time and energy to make them work for you.

Don't spend a ton of money on advertising sites, unless first you actually know what you are doing. So study, study, study... Read everything you can put your hands on, until you start to get a sense of things. Then never stop reading.
