    Hi,

What webmail is good to use to pop3 your email messages?

Gmail is a problem for me because it automatically pop3 my emails without an option to disable automatic mail fetching. Unless someone knows how to do it.

Both hotmail and yahoo don't have imap, which means I can't transfer all my old emails to store in them.

I can't disable automatic mail fetching in gmail which is annoying.

I have posted a request for that feature in gmail forums.

I hope more people can join in to ask for it as well!

I am sure the feature can be disabled, are you sure you don't have a filter that automatically does this?

Filters filter emails to different folders. Filters do not prevent automatic mail fetching do they?

As far as reliability and privacy is concerned, I would be skeptical to try anything other than GMail/Hotmail/Yahoo mail.

If you don't mind paying for the email service, I thought this is pretty good:
    http://www.rackspace.com/email_hosting

The webmail interface is pretty clean and straight-forward and you get IMAP too.
