FWTLogstat2 is a free program that helps you in analyzing the log file produced by the Apache Web server. It gives you a report of the pages that were visited, the last access date, the amount of bytes transferred, and the number of requests. This report can be sorted by name of the page, bytes transferred, or number of requests. Filters can be applied to the report regarding the date and day of the week of the visit, and the name of the page. For example, you can see how many visits had the pages whose names begin with "page", on the weekends of the month of July.

FWTLogstat1 is another free program that lets you keep track of the visitors your site receives. You can see averages of visits per day, pageviews per user, and visits per user. You can see pageviews per day and users per day, a ranking of visits per user, a ranking of pages, and a ranking of referrers. You can also see the search strings that were used to come to your site, and how many visitors sent each search engine.

We also use Google Analytics. There are probably better ones out there, but Analytics has always done the job nicely :p

I use Google analytics too and also review my cpanel stats. There are definitely discrepancies between each but they all give a good idea of where traffic is coming from and other important data.

StatCounter and Google Analytics. Rarely look into awstats which is configured by default on my web server.

StatCounter is good for low traffic sites and can give a micro level view on individual visitors.

Google analytics is one of the best application for analyzing traffic. If you want to know more about other tools then go ahead and look at Avinash Kaushik's Ocean Razor Blog. Search it on Google, you will find the link.
