What was your first computer ?!!

    In this thread everybody can tell us what was his fist computer :)

    My real first computer was an Amiga 2500 (commodore) in 1989 there is no way you can find one now and it was very expensive , if my father didnt need it too he would never buy it to me for 3K :)

    Processor: Motorola 14.32 MHz, Ram: 1 Mb, Hard drive: if i remember it was something around 500mb :D

    Wow!!! That was from when I was a year old lol.

    My first computer in the 90's was a MAC :D!!! Yes, I started with a mac :eek:

    My first personal computer was my own laptop that I saved up for and am still using to this day.. I hope to get a nice MacBook soon!

    I can remember the first computer I ever had, but I do know that throughout my young years I always used to use an APPLE!! Yeah Go Apple! I cant wait for my new mac!

    Mine was a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A in the mid 80's. I was hooked on playing Tunnels of Doom and some Pirate Adventure game. Both of these loaded from a regular cassette tape. I also dabbled in writing some Basic code at that time.

    My first computer is IBM 8086 XT with 4.77 Mhz that can be speed up to 10 mhz.
    Ram 640 kbyte with 2 floppy disk 5 1/4 inch and CGA monitor.
    Had a good time with digger.

    Nice one, this was the first generation of X86 intel processors, after that things went really quikly the pentium 1 arrived only 2 or 3 years later.

    A Mac Plus. Then a Mac SE, followed by a Mac Quadra. After a few-years' venture into PCs, I came back to an eMac, then an iMac, which I currently still use along with the MacBook Pro I'm typing this on.

    not before 286, 386 and 486 come around. I still remember that I went shoping to buy an 387 math co processor chip. :D
    that emm386.exe and himem.sys still haunted me :cool:

    yeah thats what i was saying, the transition beween x86 then 286 , 386 , 486 and then pentium1 was fast less than 3 years i think.

    but then am planning to get a new one now:)
