so what was your first car, im going to buy my first car soon so i wanted to know what you guy's and gal's got for ur first time.
I bought myself a 1973 Porsche 911t with 16. Granted, it was in pieces, I never did get the full papers for it, and now its been stolen and trying to get it back.
1979 Ford Thunderbird, Powder Blue. I think it had a 5.8 litre engine. No joke! It was just awesome. Huge. Here it is in white: http://www.murrayco.com/79_T-bird/tbird80.jpg
My first car was and still is a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am. 2-Door, white, V6, and loaded with a sexy dash. Crashed it. It's less sexy, but gets the job done. Looking to buy a Chevy Monte Carlo or another Pontiac in a year or two.
My first car was a mazda 929 1983 sedan. It was in good condition when i first bought it. But had heaps of problems throughout the time i had it. Problems: 1. cracked windscreen 2. stuffed starter motor (would not start on 30 + degree (celcious) days) 3. heater didn't work (core had rusted through so it had to be disconnected) 4. pinged (fuel/spark/dizzy related) 5. 1st spark plug was misthreaded into the cylinder head 6. cruise control would stick 7. rust on roof, from mates leaving there swimming shorts on it to dry. 8. busted auto aerial 10. caburetter leaked petrol 11. cracked exhaust pipe (suspension was too low and smacked a speed hump) How did i get rid of it? A 10 min hail storm with rocks the size of tennis balls destroyed every panel on the car. Insurance wrote it off and I got paid out for the lemon.
First car was a Mk3 Ford Escort 1.3L, it cost me £300 and after 3 months when it came time for the M.O.T. it was declared a right-off! I learned it had more holes in the floor than Fred Flinstone's.
It was a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500, four door monster. It was big, fast and fun. I miss that car. My next car was a '67 Plymouth Sport Fury II two door. It was a lot of fun as well. I miss both of those cars.
My first car was an L REGISTRATION (1972) Hillman Hunter picked up by my dad for just 50 pounds sterling ($100) back in 1986, it was an automatic confused as well lol! My dad lovingly got it roadworthy and running like a dream for me, but unfortunately I was only a teenager and blew the engine up while seeing what top speed I could get out of it on the M40 near London, summats flew out of the side of the engine, I think I got it up to about 95mph. My old man went mad. Here is a picture of the car from wiki, but mine was white and not in as good a condition as the one depicted: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1972.hillman.hunter.gls.arp.750pix.jpg
Well, my 1st car was Honda Civic 1.6 in 1991. Nice strawberry colour and with my favourite number too! But now, I don't have any... sob...sob...
