What useful content to add to directory pages?

What useful content can we add to directories. I am always on the lookout for relevant content to be added to directory category pages to make it more rich?

Any ideas, please share,

You have a good directory already. How about an RSS Feed for fresh content or news for your visitors.

Hi, nice to see your directory still around it was one of the first I submitted to back in the old days ;-) Take a look at Authority Directory for ideas, they have lots of relevant extra content on the category and link detail pages

 

Find a way to add ORIGINAL content. It is a nearly guaranteed method to see pagerank spread more deeply through your directory.

While you checking Authority Directory, check AMRAY Web Directory including their details pages.
But in general adding About, Terms, Privacy etc. pages will add to directory face and legitimacy.

 

I tend to write an intro text of about 250 words for the important categories in my directory, its worth hiring a content writer if you are not able to write it your self, its a worthwhile investment.

You need to good quality of data for your description and good title and keywords for submission of directory.
