what URL to submit to directories?

    I would put an emphasis on www.myproduct.com/blog because it will have more content for the spiders. The blog would benefit more in terms of SEO.

    Well,if you want to submit to free dirs,you'd submit the first one.
    If you want to submit to paid dirs,whatever will work.

    Ps:The directories in my sig. accept deep submissions ;)

    Submit the blog definitely and link to your site from various pages in the blog

    Blogs tend to do good with search engines, I would submit the main site if you can't do both.

    You should read the directories submission guidelines if they asks for the URL of the home page of your site then submitting the 2nd will probably get your site discarded.

    For example we offer 5 deep links but require the main URL be the site home page, while other directories will accept a deep link for the main URL.

    A link to anywhere on your site is better than no link because you didn't follow their rules.
