Detectives filmed before 2010. After this mark a lot of movies started to focus on CGI which is not good, my opinion.

Cryme/Mystery and Psychological thrillers, but it's getting more and more difficult to find good ones, and think I watched most of the oldies worth watching...

I've noticed that a lot of forums today are still online for what I just asssume is for archival purposes. Yet for some reason, they rarely have any activity in general. But I think it's mostly because of time not being kind to them, and replacement platforms coming along. So you need not feel bad about it.

Twitter (or just 'X' now) sucks balls, though.

    Totally agree with you.
I also find this genre more interesting, because you can always find mystery and intrigue there. There may be something interesting or scary hiding around the corner and you won't know what exactly is hiding there until the last minute.
That's what attracts me to movies like Shutter Island, Zodiac, Inception, Sightless and other good old masterpieces!!

Although this discussion is about movies, I want to write about a new cartoon called Elemental. I recommend it not only to children but also to adults) There is a lot to think about while watching it.

I adore depressing films in the psychological thriller genre, such as The Menu, Blade Runner, Black Swan, Mother. These are films with a deep meaning that you want to watch several times.

    Absolutely agree!

Have you seen Last Night in Soho?

It seems like a psychological thriller but really just turns out to be pure horror. I was thrown off by trying to make rational explanations for what was happening (main character could be considered schizophrenic, but the hallucinations are actually real). I felt like I was watching a different movie than I was for most of it

Great cinematography though. And Dianna Rigg makes her final appearance in a film

Couldn't agree more on the cinematography! Loved it. The movie itself I found interesting, but yeah, a bit confusing.
