A bidding directory is one in which you bid for placement; the highest bidder often secures a sitewide link.

It seems to me, from surfing around DP, that bidding directories have peaked in popularity and have since plateaued. However, perhaps someone better informed can correct me.

Do your homework, many newer bid directories are on dropped domains, pushed like there is no tomorrow and then flogged of to unsuspecting people with stars in their eyes before the PR drops.

i will not suggest you to buy any link. first, you try for free link submission then you should go for paid links.

I'd buy a well edited general directory, without bids. Or a content rich niche directory.

Whether the submit page wants a payment or not..it doesn't matter.

It's all about the links within the categories.
