I have a forum and its a huge pain in the butt. Not because of spammers, but because you have to fill it up with a lot of threads, talk to yourself, and log in on a consistent basis to encourage other people to stop in. Even then its tough to keep activity. Its harder to get a lot of repeat visitors to a forum than a blog I think. What do you guys think?
Leeching or scraper sites, even ones that just take snippets are too risky. You probably will piss off a lot of people.
Here is what im wondering, isn't hard to earn from directories since most looking at them are webmasters and they hardly click on ads. Also isn't the directory website niche terribly saturated? I have a affiliate program directory and although its new, its very hard to get traffic to it through search engines.
Directories currently are at the receiving end from Google and the market has gone down especially to paid directories.
So true this comment ... Forum it's hard to start but once it's started with a lot of moderator and a head modo the job of admin become easy and just need to modify you skin and promote your forum to get more user.
Sites on niche topic that people like to go to like one of mine is www.relaxationtips.org. I have 16 articles and adsense comes in every month. Problem is adsense is onel 3/month. But no maintence so you can have hundreds of them
