What is allowed and legal for music site still confuses me. I would think download sites which allow you to download mp3 are illegal but wouldn't sites like beemp3.com be illegal then? Or maybe it is legal if you agree to pay some sort of royalty to the music companies. I assume music streaming sites like grooveshark or Pandora are legal And sites like hulu.com are probably OK since they pay royalties to the content makers. So if someone wants to start an MP3 site, what are the dos and don'ts?
It's a very very difficult industry to get involved in, you'll most likely need to pay for proper legal advice first though as it's not unlikely you'd find yourself with an absolutely enormous fine if caught doing anything that isn't whiter than white.
If you have to question the legality of something it's probably not worth it. BeeMP3 is just a search engine as far as I know (specifically for MP3s granted) and links to files on other servers. That however doesn't mean that they are immune from prosecution. Take Napster and more recently Limewire for instance. Although these programs hosted no files and just pointed users to download locations of files they have both lost massive lawsuits.
i think first you have to purchase royalty of each and every MP3 Songs and then you can sell these songs legally online.
