What type of inbound link is best?

    I am wondering if it is better to get in inbound from an external sites side bar that uses your blog's name as the anchor text, or, is it better to get a link from a blogs main content with a keyword used on your site for anchor text?

    I know that when you appear in the sidebar you have the advantage of being linked to on many more pages, however, I have noticed signifcantly more traffic coming for inbound links found within the main content of sites that link to me.

    Natural links. This pretty much means a link to your site that you didn't pay for or reciprocate.

    One way links from relevant sites, but much more worth inbound links from the text than from page with lots of outbound links.

    Go for a link in the content of the blog rather than on the sidebar. Search engines prefer links that look natural and you will get more credit for this type of link.

    Static link - make sure it doesnt use a redirect before it gets to your site or it will offer no help for SEO.
