What type of icons should I use for voting up and down?

    I am confused what type of icons I should have for voting up and down.

    I thought of having thumbs up and thumbs down but don't know what i would have for the middle one.
    I have attached a few examples of few I have seen, but am looking what I have that would be original.
    I need to have:
    1 for voting something up,
    1 for voting something in the middle
    1 for voting something down

    Maybe just change the colors of the ones in the attached image to green(up) yellow(neutral) red(down), like a traffic light.
    Or perhaps you could use a smiley face, neutral face(mouth=straight line) and sad face...

    can you give us any idea of where you're gonna use this? If we could see it in context it might help us give you a few more ideas.
