I have used vBulletin and phpBB. Vbulletin was a lot nicer in my opinion. I like the look of IPB though. What do you use and why?

Vbulletin for now. I had troubles with PhpBB (it was hacked without any extensions or my mistake) before. And since almost everyone have positive comments about vbulletin and i know commercial products may save your time and money in the long term, i chose vbulletin.

I did not open my forum to public yet but as far as i see, it also has a great community with lots of plugins.

    I'm using SMF.
Also used phpBB in the past, but got hacked as well.
And lot's of features I installed a mod for with phpBB, were defaukt with SMF.
So didn't take much to convince me to use SMF :)

I use phpBB (4 forums I think, or 5). I also have 1 VB, 2 IPB, 1 myBB and 1SMF. I use all these scripts since I am also a skin designer and thus I can show them off in my portfolio :D

I have installed and used VB for my company and it has a lot of features and the hacks available for the forums are too good. For my personal forum, I use SMF, as i find it more convenient and secured then PHPBB

SMF here, light on server load, read thread tracking works the way I want it to and couldn't live without the SSI.php features.

MyBB. I just love MyBB, basically the free version of vBulletin.
