What type of contract should I use?

I have a website idea and a design I made to go a long with. I am hiring a programmer. I will be giving him my design to use and explaining my idea to him.

What type of contract should I use in case he steals my design and idea, and uses it on a completely different site made for himself?

You should use a simple Work for Hire Contract & Non-Compete / Non-Disclosure agreement. Do a google search for those terms and you should find something you can modify for your own needs. Good luck!

I agree with DesignSprint.com. An Independent Contractor Non Compete-Non Disclosure agreement drafted correctly should do the trick.
