I am a guest writer at business insider. It has an alexa rank of 600 something. I sometimes include links in my articles on businessinsider to my website. are those backlinks worth more in search engine rankings than blog comments backlinks?
your link would be worth more if it was on the homepage writing a guest post and having ur link in there does not automatically give u backlink juice
I would tend to say that a link in an article is worth more than one in a blog comment, as it should naturally have some kind of context related to the link around (which is why it would be more relevant) and Google would take this into account. Link context is very important.
I would say to the link in content is worth more then a comment link or a blog roll. But it depends on the page. Inside page often are not as worthy as homepage.
It depends on the Rank of that particular page and also whether it is a no follow or do follow. Higher the page rank of the page the more worth it has coz PR will be passed to your page from there
link is worth in that case like dofollow, within blog roll. Comment link is popular is worth in that case when post is popular and more search able with indexed by Search engine otherwise its not too much worthy.
Link value is depending on so many factors. -Link site authority -Outgoing links of linking page -Whether link is do-follow -Whether link is related to the page content
