what type of ads and where to place in my forum?

I'm thinking on putting google adsense in my forum www.AnswerSpots.com.
where and what type should i put in?
I myself click on image ads in DP more then text which should i use?
also how many page views would it take to get $100?

Place ad units at the top of your board, before all of the post content and everything. Another good spot is when someone is reading a thread, have an ad blend in and look like a post - this works well placing it 2 or 3 posts down.

do not display your ads in login pages, only display ads inside topics for best SERP crawl and CTR
