    Hope that wasn't us, we were experiencing a db error earlier and initially changed settings to see if that was a problem.

    What turns me off? Seeing that mother stickin' peppermint template! Does EVERY new directory have to use that template? I see that template and I run away screaming!

    Also, don't use that darn categories database everyone seems to love (the 456 cats or whatever everyone downloads). Make your own unique category structure.

    :eek:

    AMEN!

    AMEN!!x2

    I wish google/msn/yahoo would banned every single directory that used the same exact category structure. I don't care how popular a directory is, or how much everyone loves a specific directory. If it's part of the batch, then I hope it gets shredded one day as well.

    (I currently have about 5400 with more to come ;))

    I wish if people chose to use image verification, they didn't set it to 'get out magnifying glass and retry 10 times before it's actually right' settings. At least make the f*cking thing legible. I can't stand that capcha myself and it's really annoying lately.

    What turns me off:

    * required reciprocal
    * register/login
    * image verification
    * email verification

    i hate directories like that, it's very time consuming :(

    Let me throw some more out there.

    Seeing people delate their databases. OK mistakes happen but everyone should make backups on a regular basis. If I see a request for resubmits I'll ignore it, its a waste of my time and who knows it could be deleted again. I know it must be a pain in the arse to delete your database though.

    Back to the spam - please dont send me a number of emails stating that free submissions are now closed due to being spammed as I am not interested and there is a high chance I dont even remember your directory as I look at hundreds of these every week.

    If I get fustrated with my directory submits today I'll add more points :p

    *Edit*

    So I'll add those who use no-follow and that probably have very little traffic. Whats the point in me buiding your outgoing links?
