Ive used Notepad++ and quite like it, plus handy if you need to save without BOM.

Tried dreamweaver in the past, never could get used to it, and ive read dozens of times that coding with something simple is the way to go and not a wysiwyg.

Photoshop CS4 and Microsoft Expression Web 2

Best applications for Web Design, in my opinion.

You guys are being mean to Notepad. :D

Look at these beauties here (http://www.thepimppanther.com/wordpressthemesdemo/?p=22)
made in the "one undo program" only. :)

    Not bad, huh? :D

It's not that you can't do the work in Notepad, it's that it is feature impoverished, causing a low level of productivity.

Multiple levels of undo are only are only a small part of the picture. What about multiple items on your clipboard, or being able to append one copy operation to another automagically? Consider having several files open simultaneously, even viewing and working on more than one at a time, side by side or one over the other, in panes?

I could go on and on about the features a good editor has; Notepad is a toy by comparison.

    cheers,

    gary

I know, Gary, and I was just kidding.
But there was a point after all in my post.
It's not the program that matters but the person who uses it.
One year ago, I was using a very advanced WYSIWYG editor to design shitty websites, now I am using notepad with much more decent results.

As for notepad itself, I don't know why I like it so much... but to me, code in notepad looks much more explicit than in any php/html/css editor.
Guess I just got used to it.
