What tool do you use for sitemap?

Hi,

I run my affiliate websites and in need of a sitemap generator. This is because my website is growing rapidly and so the sitemap. I am fed up of adding files manually and don't want to rely on online sitemap generators. They tend to be slow and sometimes restrictive in my case.

I did a bit of Googling and found inspyder sitemap creator. I downloaded and tried it. For now I find it useful and can evaluate it for some time. Of course, it is not free.

Its free for use..

 

Check out gSiteCrawler. It is one of the best so far.

 

I am using. There is 30 days evaluation period

 

Its good but its only 500 pages. any other ideas?

 

Yes xml-sitemaps[dot]com only generate sitemap for 500 pages, but if you register they will let you generate sitemap for as many pages as you wanted.
personally, i have software called "Google Sitemap Maker", which creates sitemap's as many pages as your site has. my site's pages are 384 and all are currently listed on google.

 

CoffeeCup Google SiteMapper. This is a pretty good piece of software. You can create the sitemap from the internet or a directory of web files on your computer. You can directly upload the sitemap to google from the application, and it also creates a HTML site map with folder + file images.

 

You can try the one I've made:

- Free,
- Up to 10000 links generated,
- With preview after which you can see your broken links, change all params, include them or not or remove URL,
- With inclusion or exclusion lists,

xml-sitemaps.com is the best choice if the number of pages is less than 500 and for more pages, you can try http://www.vigos.com/products/gsitemap

What is the price and i will like to buy if it can generate a sitemap for a site with 400000 pages

and how much time iut take to make a site map for such big site

For XML sitemaps, I generally just use xml-sitemaps.com, but it has a limit of 500 pages and it doesn't work for some sites. In those cases, I use auditmypc.com/free-sitemap-generator.asp. It's a Java based sitemap creator. It doesn't have any limits, and it runs a couple other useful tools at the same time as it's creating the sitemap, like a broken link checker and an html sitemap generator.

 

With a little configuration, A1 Sitemap Generator can in most cases handle 400.000 pages without problems. But obviously, website crawl will take a while, perhaps 2-3 days (probably less if you have fast webserver and good connection). Alternatively you can break it up in multiple projects and use the automation+resume support to scan e.g. each night for 10 hours. There's a fully functional 30 days trial. Feel free to email/pm if you encounter problems

very nice and accurate xml site map generator script, and most importantly its free (for more then 500 site pages, previously i know a site which provide free xml site map generation script but your script provide site map up to 1000) will give it a try for my new site surely....
