hi, I am just starting out in adsense and have a $200 budget. I have allocated about $70 of it to hosting for 6 months and a domain name, and was wondering where to best spend the other $130. I have started writing articles for my website, in an area I know lots about, but it is quite slow. I was thinking of maybe spending the money on buying some original content articles and starting a 2nd site on a different niche (still related to my other niche). from what i understand $130 would get me about 13 good unique articles I think. I don't want them to be for the same site as my first site is something I am very competent in, but it would be good to have a start off for a 2nd website. I was just wondering if this is a good idea, or if there is something better I could spend my money on? Do many people have success outsourcing articles or do most people write their won. Also how does it work, do they write the articles on something they know, or do they do the research? Thanks jordan
Hi, Depends on your website, if you want traffic try adwords etc. If you want to build links try get strong links like directory submissions or articles
Adwords are two expensive. You could try 7search.com - you can still get some 5c clicks and the visitors are real.
Why not just keep it in your pocket? Write articles, build a site and grow your income. It's not like you can buy profits.
Spend the money on link building, for the first site where you are expert enuff to write the content.. Think about the second site when your first one has a success. Buy a couple of Directory submission services. Buy a service to submit each of your articles to a few social sites. Buy a few good paid directory with deep links.. Buy a service or submit yourself to a few article directories. And I think you have posted in the wrong forum category!!!!
oh sorry, if its in the wrong category could a mod please move it? thanks for the advice about buying links, i didn't even think about that. its just i feel like it is so slow writing my own articles sometimes
I don't know why so many Dpers keep saying that about building links, but if you always build links slow you'll go nowhere.
if you build fast you will surely go somewhere - Google's spam database. My sites did. I had to learn the hard way.
Except for buying a few good paid directory links, I completely agree with the above. Better spend that money and approach bloggers or sites to write well-keyworded posts/reviews of your site.
I would say speed up the process of writing articles and spend the money wisely on links. As you mentioned that you're starting with Adsense, it'll be better to concentrate fully on one site instead of working many. Just my opinion. It depends on who you hire, money that you're paying and how clearly you specify your guidelines to the writer.
Buying articles is not a good idea. How many times u buy articles ?? u cant run a site for many months or years just with the help of few good articles. Write articles, and get more relevant traffic with your remaining amount.
Have you already bought the hosting. I use a hosting package which no others can beat and it is less than half the price for the year. They have been excellent since I have been using them.
