Hello, I see that a lot of people are posting SEO strategy for blogs and forum, but what if I'm doing with website that sells products, how should I start off the SEO, as instead of updating daily or weekly blog posts to keep the website active, we have to always keep up to date as if new products comes in then the details of the product will have to be added. But pages like about us and pages that are one time setup, are all up there. But how can we get our ranking higher in searches and used the accurate keyword and where to use them and mapped them. I am totally newb on SEO, and trying to master some skills of this then split the work to my employee and let them work on separate parts of SEO. So far my only knowledge of increasing website page rank if that's even part of SEO, is backlinks from other webpage linking back to our website. But that doesn't fix the problem for keyword ranking or google ranking.
Hello, Yes I've heard and seen that website and many more similar to that, but my mistake for not mentioning that in the topic post, also I wanted to let everyone know that for now I want to try free method to climb my SEO/Search engine ranking. It's not the fact that we don't have the budget or money but we want to know where to start off first as we're totally new, and we like to do that with free method first then slowly move on to paid method as I've heard that there no way you can get far with just plain free method, so I just want to start with it for now. If anyone can explain with their personal experienced, or their well known knowledge about SEO and increasing it I would appreciate that, as I like to hear from DP members instead of websites guide.
Get high-quality, relevant links. A good place for a beginner to start is with web 2.0s and relevant guest posts. Just make sure you diversify your anchor text. You can start using more advanced techniques like high PR links later
Guest posts are really your best bet right now. Just send popular blogs in your niche/demographic an idea for a blog post (or an already written one) and they'll almost certainly post it. Everyone is looking for content, so really you're doing them a favor.
Hmm... I've read about SEO and people are telling me that finding the right keywords for my niche and adding in tags and content so when we get pulled in through google, it gets the text that we wanted. How would I do all of this?
there are a ton of things in SEO and the landscape is always changing. I personally like a lot of the advice that Becker gives out on source-wave.com He offers heaps of advice for free. Whatever you are trying to rank for you can usually find low competition long tail keywords to start off with and rank for while your site is building up some authority before trying the harder more competitive general terms in your niche.
