What to put in a cold email to a potential client?

Hi I work at a design agency and wanted to get some help on what type of information I should be putting into an email that will be sent to a list of local businesses I have collected. I understand we have to speak about our services and put a portfolio link in but how should it be phrased to not sound too impersonal. Your professional advice would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Ashley

First off, make sure you have a solution to a problem clearly displayed above the fold of the email. For example, you are selling SEO services, you might note that you will increase conversions on the website by bringing additional traffic to the website through Search Engine Marketing. I definitely recommend not spamming someone, so I'm not encouraging that. But if you have people you think are legitimately interested, always begin with a clear solution to a problem to gain their attention.
