Hello, I want to register a new domain because i started a new website which allows anyone to watch a TV series for free, I am trying to pick the right domain - but i do not know how i should choose it, The domain is not available for watch-showname.com or watchshowname.com so i really don't know how i should pick my domain and if it really matters what keywords are in my domain name, What do i do ? I can refer to a CO.CC domain and that way i would be able to register "SHOWNAME.CO.CC" since it has not been registered, but how will that work out in terms of rankings, since it is a free domain and everything. Let's say the TV show was The simpsons and i best to register thesimpsons.co.cc or watch-thesimspons.co.cc , Thanks in advance for the feedback.

try to use your mainkeyword first, if thats not possible go for 2 keywords like keyword-keyword.com, get a top level domain, .com, .net, .org, .info, and .biz but best is .com . use adwords to find good keywords. regards,
I agree but, My domain is currently http://www.watch-familyguy.co.cc - Should i buy a .com domain even though watch-familyguy.com isn't available as well as many others or do i just stick with this co.cc domain ?
If you want buy this domain .com and its unavailable then add some unique word within domain watch-familyguy.com and it will not effect anything in promotion.
Dude, co.cc is not a domain, its a sub domain. Supposed they increase their renewal fee, what are you gonna do then. I also never seen any co.cc rank on the first page Even unrelated word is still better than co.cc as long as its a .com.
Better to stick with .com, try to play around with keywords. if your show for example is one piece.. you can go for.. watchonepiece.com watch-onepiece.com onepiecetv.com watchonepieceonline.com onepiecestreaming.com getonepiece.com etc. Just play around with keywords.
I tried those and none of them are available for Family Guy. I wanted to register watch-familyguy.com but it is registered, should i register the .net version even though the .com is registered?
You don't have to stick with .com only. There are also .net, .info, .org, .us... Of course, for ranking .com is the best, then you may try to keep your main keywords and add something like new-, my-, the-, free- etc... or terminations like -online, -review, -info. Finally, you can try to put hyphens between words. Improvise, sooner or later you'll find something.
.com is the best choice, but if there's really no good domains left for you tv site, then you should try others. .info, .co seems good in these days, many registrars have promotions~don't miss the chance~
