    Hi, stylish.

If you are just starting, you could use videos to learn.

Youtube can be a good place to start. There you could search for "html tutorial", "css tutorial", "javascript tutorial" and lots of videos would show up.

Sometimes, when someone is just starting to learn, visual representations can make the learning process more intuitive and faster.

    Hope it helps!

    Learn web browsing concepts.

    Then, HTML
    Then, CSS.
    Then, a little phototips techniques.
    Then, web hosting areas

    Follow blogs of your interest.

The best way is to visit the link for the w3 school. I would suggest that you also start looking into some books that can be useful, try amazon. Don't forget to also visit smashingmagazine.com they have tons of information for newb such as yourself, good luck.

Here is a website I used to learn PHP: http://www.phpvideotutorials.com. They also have a forum where people who know PHP inside and out can help you as well.

    What does?

OP: You definatly need to learn HTML and CSS, they are essential. To all those that provided the w3schools link, any site that teaches about the <center> and <font> tags are utter rubbish. I would no longer recommend w3schools, it hasn't been updated in donkeys years.

    Some links for you,

If you want to create your own websites, you'll need to pick up (X)HTML, CSS and some graphical skills, either in Photoshop or another alternative like Gimp. If you're up for the challenge later, you can pick up XML, PHP and SQL so you can create your own applications, but I do suggest you get comfortable with (X)HTML and CSS.

The best is to start with HTML and then work your way to CSS. By allowing yourself to learn basic HTML you will learn the importance of CSS.

hmmmm... webdesign mainly comprises of two parts; the design and the coding to implement it.

It's best to learn it seperately, start off by understanding some basic html codes first. ;) The design part requires some self-training inorder to come out with a decent layout. :D

I would start by saying that you need to learn 3 programs

    PS IR and DW

With PhotoShop you create your basic layout

With Image Ready(It comes with PhotoShop) you going to slice (cut) the layout and save it the all files in html.

Finally you can use DreamWeaver to make new pages and to upload the whole web site on the Internet.

I would suggest you to join Lynda.com which is the biggest online Video Tutorials or go to PhotoShopCafe.com and buy the CD about DW and PS Integration.

This is the basic...then you can learn more about CSS, PHP or other softwares such as FLASH to animate a bit the entire web page

PM me I can upload you the tutorial in shareware
