Sup all I am currently on a dedicated server. Its great. Its $$ Im on it with other people so it gets to be a pain sometimes. Combined with all the sites running we prob have about 35 sites and a total of prob 10k visitors a day. Im curious if your typical vps would be able to handle this? I would get my own dedicated but i cant afford one with a RAID so i figure the next best thing is a vps or some sort of reseller that runs on a big server running a raid shared by others. My only concern is... will it be able to run my sites smoothly. the one site gets at bout 4,000-5000k uniques a day. ANy ideas? Thanks
A high end vps should be able to handle it as long as the sites aren't too graphic or resource intensive. I recommend powervps.
Yeah, I would look for a high end VPS opposed to a reseller account. 5000 unique visitors a day is a lot especially if it's dynamic content. I also assume you probably get 50,000 pageviews or more each day which is a lot for dynamic content.
Cool thanks guys. Yeah i get over 50,000 pageviews at least a day. the main site is mostly pictures and videos that pull via youtube.
If it pulls the videos from youtube it shouldn't be too bandwidth intensive. Can you view bandwidth statistics and post them here so that we can get a better idea?
