Well make sure you put the adsense content tags around the content that is really important. Secondly have your site added to the Adsense directory where people that use Adwords see your site (and the exact location of where you will place there ad). Perhaps also promote advertising thru adsense on your site. Just some suggestions, you can always send me a PM when things are not clear to you.
