What to do with PR4 site?

One of my sites, Software for Enterprise jumped from PR0 to PR4 last week. It's a 5 months old site.

What would you do to your PR4 site to get more traffic? I understand SEO and PR doesn't go well together but just need some ideas on ways to leverage this PR4.

    Appreciate any comments. Thanks

I read on other posts that PR4 can help us to get link exchanges much easier. I wonder how true this is since I have never asked for link exchanges before. Is this an important step to get more traffic?

of course pr4 would get links much easier and from much well established sites.
Now you can demand AND expect to exchange links from pr4 sites.

Irrespective of what ppl say about pr I think it matters simply because it tells how many sites links to you (and if getting links is not part SEO and i don't know what is it)

Yes and no. It will easier to get link exchanges, but I wouldn't expect them. It IS still a MFA site, PR4 or not.

Not to hijack this thread, but I would not mind exchanging links with you. Let me know what you think. I also have a PR4 website and we can both benefit.

ablaye, I have sent you a PM.

Thanks for replies and comments for all others.

ViciousSummer, I will listen to your advice and try submitting my sites to some directories ( or pay someone else to do it: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=78294)

I wonder how much this will help. Will post the results here.

Now that you have a good PR, you can use it in different ways

    (1) Sell links on your pages
    (2) Link Exchange with other PR4-PR5 sites

It depends on where you want to go with your website.

If you want run a business, then I'd advise creating great content on your site for your visitors. Do some keyword research for that before, though.

For a reputable website, link exchanges are to be avoided, because linking to the so called bad neighbourhood may get you nothing, penalized or banned, depending on the verocity of the "link neighbours".

Also, irrelevant links (from unrelated websites) will not be counted by Google.

Moreover, links to medium-low quality sites may harm your reputation among your clients.

If you do want to link to someone, link only to those sites that you want to show to your visitors.

I'd recommend submitting to directories, writing articles and offering them for publication anywhere you can get (topical, respected online magazines, preferrably), issue press releases, engage in topical forums, blogs. The wider your audience coverage is, the better.

With a PR 4 site, it will now be easier for you to start optimizing your pages and get them show in rankings on search engines, especially on Google. Keep adding more content to your site and do some on-page optimization also. Your site will start getting traffic from the search engines directly. The more users coming to your site, the more popular your site will become, and a few of them might link to you or exchange links with you, which will again lead to better rankings and over the time, improved PR. Its an on-going process :) You can ofcourse speed it up by putting in extra effort.
