What to do with my new domain?

I just recently registered a new domain. It's a domain that doesn't have a whole lot of value now, but will have more value within the next year.

I may develop it next year, or I may sell it once it's value goes up. I haven't decided yet, and I refuse to make my mind up until next year.

    BUT...

In the meantime, I'd like to do something with it that will improve the value of it or make me a few bucks while it's "aging". :D I've never done anything like this and I am completely clueless as to what my options are.

What should I do with it?

If you don't know its current traffic stats I would recommend parking it. You might earn a few bucks to make up for its reg fee and you will know how much traffic is coming in for it. And you just might find a buyer at the same time.

You can also list it free at the site in my sig if you wish. It can be listed even if it is parked elsewhere so would be another avenue for an end user to find it. Hope that helps ;)

I always park my domain names until I know what I am going to do with them. I recommend Sedo, they seem to be the most known when it comes to buying/selling.

If you currently plan to do nothing with the domain, I would suggest you park it with Sedo.com. Maybe you can earn some extra bucks.

Never hurts to park it and generate some revenue while you decide what your ultimate plan for the domain is. Also gives you the chance to find a buyer for it.

Parking a domain is the worst way to start a serious project. You may profit from it, but once developed people may find its poor starting story by querying the Wayback Machine

Start with a basic layout/content to monetize from your own landing page, and then work on its development at your own pace.

Park it, no other choice until it is left undeveloped, parking won't grab much $$$ but thats the only way on undeveloped domains :D

I'm not against doing a little bit of development on it, as suggested by Mystique. I just want to know which way will earn me more money, and make the domain more valuable in the long run. ;)

Start link building from now (increase backlinks) so it gets a better PR and gets a higher value in future ;)

If parking does not pay off then start developing it slowly. I'm sure in a year you can achieve alteast 100 visitors a week.

Serious development is the way to go to give any domain a lot more value to it.

Or, the other option is to search for endusers for your name & not just rely on trying to flip to other domainers.

Do not park it , find out the niche ,say if it is web hosting write an unique article about web hosting , put some affiliate links with no follow , host it , put in your signature for a month , you will get atleast one sale .
