    Hi,

I got "warnings" regarding my sitemap I submitted to google recently. The broken links are all inside articles of my article directory.

Does it influence my ranking negative?

What is the most time effective to do to get rid of these broken links?

    thanks,
    Nirusan

if link present in your sitemap but not exit in your website. google shows this error in webmaster tool. Don't worry remove the link from your sitemap and from your website as well if it does't exit when the robot again crawl your sitemap, warning will be disappear

Just find the cause of broken links !

    Why them exist?

    Or else delete them.

Definitely broken links will affect your site rank negatively and you have to repair them manually after identifying them through webmaster tool.

Broken links are supposed to be fixed or deleted. Broken links can really affect the ranking of your site. Poor usability from broken links can drive your potential customers away too.

I usually just redirect old / broken links to my homepage to keep the visitor instead of them getting an ugly 404 page
