hi there i have a question for all the webmasters and seos what to do when your site is linked from bad neighbourhood or band site? and does it effect the rankings of your site bare in mind that the link is oneway not reciprocal.
i am asking that the site not linked from my end it is linked from band or bad neighbour hood then wat to do
Google should not penalise you for having bad links coming to your site, but you will not receive a benefit from it either. As you cannot control what sites link to your own site, it would be unfair for Google to penalise you if you have 5 links from 'adult' sites, for example. So you do not really need to do anything about this.
I'd definitely remove any links you have to bad neighborhoods. Offering a site a link is like a recommendation, so linking to bad neighborhoods is like saying to google you are recommending a bad site.
