my sitemap that i will soon be creating is to be for
    www.domain.com
but accesing that, you would get a page that has absolutely nothing because i run a forum..
    www.domain.com/forums
i am thinking of doing a 301 redict, since sooner or later i will be using the main page to have a "news" or something attractive on it..
    so my question is..
when i do my sitemap, do i add the website www.domain.com
    or should i use www.domain.com/forums?

    thanks

I would suggest to generate the site map for www.domain.com/forums and then when the main page is up and running, you can then generate a site map for www.domain.com and re-submit it to google.
