    Hi,

I have my site listed in DMOZ for a couple of years but now I'm changing the site's name and domain. The site's main topic is the same but it has a new design, features and the content is slightly different.

I applied with the new site and still waiting (fingers crossed) but I will redirect the old domain to the new one so should I report the change to dmoz so that they remove the old one and will this speed up the inclusion of the new one.

    Thanks

You should have used the "Update URL" at the top tight of the category that the site is in.

    Educated guess:

Use the update URL link at the top of the page where your site is listed.

If you're moving the site to another domain, I'll guess that having the URL updated will be no problem if you utilize a redirect and the editor can see that the site has actually moved. If the old domain resolves, I don't think they'll update the URL.

If the content and focus has changed significantly, it's possible that it may no longer qualify for a listing in the same category and might be sent to another for review.

Update requests are generally looked into much quicker than new submissions, so it could be to your benefit to submit an update request instead of waiting for the new submission to be reviewed.

I wouldn't wait for the new submission to be reviewed, it might get tagged as a mirror of the original site.
