What to do when my articles are copied? I feel helpless when this happened, twice already. When "discover sensuous calligraphy tattoo" was copied, I post my frustration on twitter. Twittering is the only way I deal with it. The copier removed the content the next day. Others copy the title (as you can imagine, a title like this really entices readers) onto their websites. When people click, they arrive at a website with nothing about that tattoo. It is just a bait. I feel upset, please tell me what I should do. My biggest concern is whether the duplicate content would affect my article's google ranking? Please let me know. Thanks, Connie Ho Copywriter, Montreal, Canada
Connie, The point of submitting your article to a place like ezine is to have them copied! Sounds crazy I know! - I hope in the article you referenced back to your website. In your author box you should include something along the lines of "This article can be reprinted if the author bio and links remain intact." Having the article on your blog and your blog only is considered unique content. Yes, google likes unique content. As soon as you submit it to ezine, its no longer unique. But now you have created a back link to your blog, which is probably more important than unique content! any other questions im happy to help!
