I need domain with two words, .com is impossible. Is is the same if I replace words, i.eg: exapmlesomething.com with somethingexample.com. It doesn't make sense to people, but is it the same for Google? And, if that's not OK, what can I add? If I make example.something.com or exapmle-something.com? What is next best domain after .com. Would you recommend me .us or .biz? Is it to important to be .com? I ask all this for SEO purposes and I'm only interested how Google will react on this. Thanks in advance for your answers!
if the domain is really great, and the .com was registered, if this .com is undeveloped or just a parking page, i would be very happy to use .net. otherwise try to think something different for a new domain name.
I personaly don't like .NET especialy if is as nothing to do with "network". It doesn't make you look legit and non-commercial. Back in the days .NET was used for network sites... Now is used as the second choice but not anymore with the new .CO...
yes domain should be simple, Sensible, may be combination of two noun words and also a preposition example .music for instruments, decimal to fraction. if you need domains contact me
If .com is a parking page, I would go with a .org . I still have not made any opinion about .co domains. It depends on how google treats .co domains. Just think .biz domains are never recommended. .co may end up like .biz .
I would suggest you to go for .net, or org if .com is not available. You can also go for .co but I do not think that .co will make an impact.
If you want just the keywords buy anything that sounds good for your website, if you want to make a brand take nothing less then .com (if your only local you can get a local domain).
Also if you have the money you can contact the owner and find out how much they will be willing to sell the domain and site for. If they are nice you may get it for a cheap price. Some people just buy domains in bulk so that they may make profit off of them when it comes time to sell. Also like others said you may just change the .com to something else which will have the same effect. However watch out that you are not providing the same type of site as the one that is currently owned as this could lead to legal actions being taken against you.
.com is the best, if your main worry is google than you can take .net, all other tlds have less value
I would recommend using .net as well... as it is lot more commonly used after .com and people have begun to remember it well as well! Regards, RightMan
I'm just mirroring the majority of people here by saying that .co is a big one at the moment, but either way, I would go for either .com, .net. .org, or .co Just remember that .co has just been recognized by Google as a global domain, so the power of that domain is going to be quite good. I would also search for the domain in the .com variation to see if it is for sale. You never know what may happen if you dont make an offer.
