    Hey guys,

Started a webmaster forum more then 7 months back (link is in sig) and it survived its birth...

Now it has 900 members with 15,000 posts but it is not going really fast (or faster then previous months)

Does anyone has tips or feedback on how to make it popular big time? what should i do ? just continue like now or does anyone has great tips?

    Help is much appreciated

For me, your forum is doing great. I had been invite to become a moderator for one forum where members participant is so bad.

Try held a contest with a nice price for members to grab. I bet people will get active more.

    Just my 2 cents. :)

    I am a member there.
So far, I like the design and such..
A few downtime and makes it lost my registration.
I sign up again more than a week ago and now still waiting for the confirmation email.
Think you should look for this issue.

I think patience + doing what has really worked in the past is key here (+ perhaps trying one or two new "tricks").

First of all... ask your forum readers "how they got in to the forums" and "what they enjoy most in the forums". Use your traffic logs to find out WHERE your traffic is coming from.

You might see the 80/20 rule in effect here: 80% of your visitors are because of 20% actions. This means there's probably certain things that work really great, and some things that are bit like waste of time.

    "Do more what works"

I'm with dynashox here: held a contest (or series of them...). That will work. People love contests.

I am thinking of setting a new contest up shortly !! These do indeed help getting new members and the current members to be more active!

Thanks for the tips so far guys!!

The registration mail is just working fine now though :)
