What can I do if someone is copying my content?
I found a website that has copied a portion of my content. What can I do?

Email them. And threaten to email their host.

Usually, an e-mail stating you'd like them to remove the stolen content from their website is enough. If all else fails you can do what Kerosene mentioned and contact their host.

Rightly said by DeniseJ, email is enough for the first time demanding them to remove the content.

Of course... Link back is the minimum he\she can do for your articles.

Maybe you don't need to worry about this because copied content is not so popular on google because it is duplicated :)

What I am suggesting is getting a backlink is a better move then getting the webmaster to remove the content.

Which is an excellent reason to get the duplicate content taken down ASAP.

    Exactly, Kerosene.

People who blatantly rip content from other people don't deserve to have that content remain on their website. They should have asked permission to do so.

Since it appears they failed to do that, it's only appropriate that the offending party take the stolen content down immediately.

If someone copies the content, I think Google would take good care of them......

Google would not take good care of those who steal your content. The most they will do is remove the offending page from their search database if you file a DMCA take down notice.

Like DeniseJ says, anyone who blatantly steals your content should be dealt with and required to remove your content from their site. On the Internet there is no need for duplicate copies of content. A simple link to the original content would performed the same benefit to the end reader. Stealing other people's content is solely about trying to profit or gain advantage from someone else's efforts for one's own site.
