What to do if Google bans

I believe I might have been banned by Google because before I had paid hosting, I created my websites on free hosting sites like Geocities and 5gbfree. Now, it appears that I might have been banned by Google because I have similar and exact sites on other places. Anyone know how to go about being "unbanned" by Google?

I used an alternative "ban checker" tool, and everything looks okay. However, I'm afraid of being banned because I have similar sites in other places. I was using 5gbfree a lot because it has a FrontPage type HTML editor and I was using it to set up my current sites. Should I go and remove everything from all the other places?

If you are not going to use it anymore,
then it would be a good idea not having it at all.

To me it looks like you have duplicate content!

Is that what you mean by similar sites?

or the site look and feel the same but has different content?

If the content is different it should be OK.

If the content is the same, they may have banned you for duplicate content.
-- You can chagne the content and then they may re-include you after some time.

url(s) would help so, we can see and get a good feel of what is going on.

Moreover I will suggest to change the content of one of the site if you can, however there are chances that google may overlook the similar content in case penalizing it, Also since you're with paid host now, you need not worry, try to update your content and get quality backlinks from more trusted sites.

i guess ,there is nothing to worry about, if you have paid hosting space..what 's the point of having same site on free server as well..remove it from there..and you are not going to ban or simply change the content of one the site, if you still want to have one site under two servers

Thanks for the answers. I will go and change the "duplicate" pages on the other hosting sites; I don't use them anymore, anyway.

Do ur other sites have rankings in the serps with page ranks, if they do leave them as it is and add more content to ur new site while referencing your old free sites as the source of some of your content.

Thats one of the ways. Just put down those free sites and keep the current one. Once done that contact Google and let them know you have put down the other sites down.

But before even contacting Google, check if your website is listed , see if it shows results if you type site:yoursite.com in Google, if you got results than your are not banned but you have just drop in SERPs (if what makes you think you are banned is the low organic traffic lately you are receiving).
