Hi I have spotted quite a few small and medium size local businesses who havent got affiliate programs and should. What is the best way to harness this opportunity? I could refer them to one of my affiliate networks, but then other affiliates will compete. Is there a way to recruit and build an affiliate relationship without involving a network, so that I can push for 100% of their commision?
You could offer them that you become their affiliate manager. Since you're into affiliate marketing, you know which networks would work with their product niches, you would know how to promote them. Bottom line man, go ahead and break the ice with them. Sell them the idea that they NEED an affiliate marketing program. Good luck with that, and have a nice day
Doesn't hurt to email them and mention that you would promote them if they had an affiliate program. I mentioned this sort of thing to someone who sold a language program via Clickbank (no affiliate program though) and he then later added an affiliate program that I now promote a lot.
