OK, You have a site and you have SEO'd the proverbials off it and created a ton of backlinks, your getting good organic SERP's what is next? What other marketing strategies can you use to drive traffic to your site?
Continue to develop new and original content. Continue to gain new backlinks ( preferably from related sites ). Continue to use the various social bookmarking sites ( especially for any new content you create ). Consider creating an RSS feed for your site. Consider writing some articles related to your site and submit them to various article sites. Alex
Purchase advertising at other websites. Hostgator probably recieves a good amount of traffic from the search engines, but i'm sure a huge portion is from direct advertising.

Original fresh content again and again and again. The more original content the better. Google like big sites and those being updated often. Furthermore you will get traffic for a lot of keywords and you will find some new potentially good keywords too
Well the site in question is an art/ecommerce site and it ranks really well for specific search terms in its niche, the problem is that it takes a lot of visitors to convert into sales and for that reason ppc is out of the question. Ive never really got into social bookmarking other than putting a widget on the site, whats your best tips for social bookmarking? Digg, Stumble etc, ive never really used them... But seen a lot of people offer these as service, do they really work and if so how? does it create good quality backlinks to increase SERPs or direct traffic from social bookmarking sites? Thanks.
Depending on your Niche or industry and depending on the nature of your website, or Blog. If you SE ranking gets you enough Business, then keep on working on what you did before so you will maintain your ranking ie, create more content (More Real valuable content), keep link building and from time to time try other Marketing methods such as PPC or Article marketing or even email marketing. You could benefit from a mailing list. If on the other hand, you have less traffic from SE's, then you have to work aggressively toward other means of traffic generation. Do all you can to create a brand in your field that people will remember and come back to, build loyalty with your visitors, make them want more.
