What to do about stolen content?

Anyone have any advice on buying forum content that you figure out is stolen after you've bought it? What can you do about it? I already tried contacting the seller and can't get in touch with them. Come to find out, they're banned!

Anyway, I try to make good judgment calls when buying online, but can never be sure. I suppose it's the name of the game. Sometimes you can get some great deals legitimately. A company will offer 10 products or so to a small group with the intention of people "spreading the word" about their product. "Get it now because there's only ten" sort of thing, we've all heard it. When buying online, how do you qualify a seller who has good feedback and a number of posts?

    thanks.

It is hard to come after a content thief, or any type of thief, for that matter :D The best thing that we can do is to protect ourselves. We can't rely much on copyright laws since it takes time to file a suit (and for less than a grand of damages, filling a suit isn't such a practical move). One form of protection is to buy a few items from the writer or content provider, and do this for a couple of times. Consistency is the key here. If the content provider has been consistent for a month, then it is time for you to give him assignments in bulk.

And before you pay, check each article for originality. I know, I know it's quite tasking. But you must do it if you really don't want to get scammed.

The first step is to contact them and kindly ask to remove it. Then you have to consider your options.
