what to consider when starting your affiliate program

I wanted to ask what everyone thinks is the most important thing to consider when starting your own affiliate scheme?

..anything spring to mind about comissions
..the do's or don'ts

I'm about to start my own scheme for my fashion clothes business so your advice would be v.helpful.

definitely include (and optimize) a page for your niche's affiliate program. a lot of people look for "widget affiliate program" and things along those lines. drop words like affiliate program, affiliates, associate program as well as any keywords related to your niche and specific hot products within the niche you sell.

if you have a huge budget you may want to try one of the major platforms to get the word out there, but they're not cheap.

 

Find the right product that everyone wants yet not too many people are selling it.

 

Also go for affiliate program that pays highest in the industry and offers you a good support and a timely payout.

 

I'm pretty sure he wants to run an affiliate program, but be an affiliate.
