you could start a blog, hire article writers to get you unique articles of your nichee start a forum if you wish, keep the money for now (use some for hosting) and see it grow or use money as posting/paticipating contests however above 2 require time to get profit back. east fast $ = site hopping or buy/sell sites, or sell proxies

There are lots of opportunities to join that can get you started in online marketing and make a few extra bucks with your investment. Most of them have free advertsing resouces within them....so if you found one you liked, you could buy into it and then use the free advertising resouces, forums, safelists, etc to begin promoting it as well as other free advertising methods.
