So I own www.virtualtuners.com Mainly the gallery works, the backend forum is only for ppl who like to vote or register to access some restricted areas of the gallery. Had over 50.000 users registered untill last month when I decided to clean up the db. I have alot of clicks but 80% of them doesnt pay more than 0.01 per click I using adsense for over 3 years and never had more than $4 a day The site itself has now 3K daily uniques and over 1.5 Million pageviews monthly. Never trade links to anyone until last week, never advertised the site, its all coming from google, because Im raking 1st on a few keywords and 3/4 palce for virtuantuning and virtual tuning keywords. My question comes becaus I had an offer of 10K to sell it, and this made me consider WHY are one person is so interested in offering 10K for a site that I consider not worht it? This drived me to a simple deduction... there is a possibility (that I havent try/see untill now to make more cash, since I doubt some on would offer 10K for that site just for the fun of it) That deduction makes me wonder... What other type of advertisment can I push there? Im looking for clicksor, but Im still not conviced... any ideas? if you have a forum or something similar what pays better?
Now I found your site in your sig. You have a lot of visitors comparing to the amount of threads. So that is good. But your ad placement is terrible. There are only some ads on the mainpage and forum home. In showthread there are no ads at all. (Edit: exept the header ad) Most likely visitors will enter your site via a search engine, and most likely they enter on a thread. And that's where you have no ads at all. You should use and experiment with the default ad templates in vbulletin style/template manager.
I assume the correct site is http://www.virtualtuners.com/ Apart from google ads maybe you could probably sell banner and link ads in the tuner industry (nofollowed) and/or selling tuning-based items through affiliate links. I would investigate the traffic levels of your competitors (compete.com), check if they are selling any ads and for how much as well as checking if they have any affiliate links on their sites.
