I have to agree with all... so voted yes for all.

You pretty much summed it up!

Couldn't agree more with dominic, you've summed it all.

What I find most irritating are redirect pages or pages in frames so the backbutton doens't work. And those javascript ads that rush into your screen.

Me too. It'd be a shorter list to ask: "What doesn't tick you off about the web"

Definitely, but if the choice was one only to be the most annoying one, I think the vote in here would be pop ups. Since I block them, my personal one would be "Music or other audio that plays when the site loads ". Nothing worse than clicking on a site and then getting something blurring at you.

The one thing I hate most about the web is not listed. Companies and web sites that install adware, spyware and all kinds of crap on computers without people knowing about it.

1 more anchor text pointing there and I think it will be permanently 1st place in google.

To some people the spyware isn't so bad, it employs thousands of people in our country to go clean it up. LOL

To get back to the initia question: I get really enoyed by slow loading sites that i need to go to for some reason. Also i'm not a big fan of "Regsitration required before viewing" again something that wastes your time. I don't like wasting time :)

Right, anything that tries to sidetrack you is pretty much what irritates. All of the clutter. When I'm online, I am always looking for specific things. Not just killing time. When you have sites with all kinds of unrelated ads trying to get you to click here, download this, try for free whatever, it just doesn't make your workday more pleasant. But then again, that's what TV commercials do and with the masses it seems to work.

BTW gmail is great for filtering spam, but when you register anywhere, you get spam that goes thru the filter. I would NEVER use my regular email addy for something random again (no, it wasn't porn :D )

Pop up is already becoming extinct, so nowadays having to register before viewing the content pissed me off

As someone has already said, anything that sidetracks me from my objective. Usually the stuff you have to wade thru (typically monetized detours of some sort) to get to what you're after.

I don't so much mind the presence of distractors (they're a given), but having no option but to be herded like cattle through a coral is what really pisses me off.

But then, I can't really talk, I've professed more than once that all exit points should pay. :)

    Cheers,

    JL

Geting pop-up ads when Firefox has a so called pop-up blocker that doesn't work. Blarg.

Other than that, there's just too many intelligent people on the internet and not enough geeks or 1337s!!! :D:D:D:D
